In the presence of His Excellency Mr. Sidi Ahmed Ould Abah, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) and JG International Infra Ltd (JG Group) on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott.
The MoU was signed on behalf of AAAID by His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al-Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and on behalf of JG International, by Mr Sparsh Jain, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation and expand AAAID’s investment activities in Mauritania through the implementation of an ambitious agricultural project. The project involves a partnership between the Arab Agricultural Services Company in Mauritania, owned by AAAID, and JG International Group, focusing on increasing vegetable production, improving preservation, refrigeration, and distribution processes, as well as producing wheat.
This collaboration is part of AAAID’s efforts to enhance agricultural investments in member states and achieve sustainable development by leveraging available natural resources and supporting the agricultural sector to ensure food security.
