His Excellency Kanayou Nouanzu – President of IFAD has visited AAAID’s offices in Dubai , on Wednesday 5 Nov,2014 and he met His Excellency Mohamed Bin Obaid Al Mazrowei – President of AAAID.
The meeting discussed the joint projects between AAAID and IFAD in Gulf and middle east area , the two sides also reviewed the survey study on evaluation the needs of small and medium -sized holdings and the investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting as well discussed different topics such as cooperation in the Arab food security , the establishment of Arab Centre for Agricultural Information, establishing a fund to finance the small farmers as well as small and medium fishermen in Mauritania.
The meeting reviewed the arrangements for the Gulf Forum for Food Security Enhancement & funding of small and medium -sized holdings , which be held in Abu Dhabi in 21 January 2015 with participation of IFAD.
The President of IFAD affirmed that the visit came to stimulate and motivate the investment in the agricultural sector and also to support the sector of the small and medium farmers and producers, he declared that they will cooperate and work together with AAAID for the advancement of the sector.
