In pursuit of a sustainable agricultural future, H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al-Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Authority for the Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), has been selected as a member of the Governing Board of the World Agricultural Forum (WAF) in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This was announced in a congratulatory message from Prof. Rudy Rabbinge, Chairman of the WAF, whose board includes elite global leaders representing various countries and sectors. Dr. Al-Zaabi possesses extensive experience and a distinguished leadership vision in several fields, with a career spanning over three decades in accounting, banking, finance, and investment, making him a valuable addition to the board.
It is worth noting that WAF aims to empower smallholder farmers and promote sustainable agricultural development through partnerships that transcend borders and sectors. Dr. Al-Zaabi’s inclusion is considered a pivotal step in setting an agenda for change and enhancing policies and innovations that support the journey toward food security.
