H.E Mohamed bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, President of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), accompanied by a delegation from the Arab Authority, visited His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al Burhan, Head of the Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan on 3 September 2019 at his office at the Presidential Palace.
H.E Al Mazrooei expressed his appreciation and gratitude to H.E the Head of the Sovereignty Council for providing the opportunity to have the meeting, which comes with the purpose of introducing AAAID, its vision, mission, objectives and investments, while reviewing the Arab Authority’s investments and projects in Arab countries in general and in Sudan in particular. H.E explained the volume of investments of the Arab Authority in Sudan indicating that 66% of the total investments of AAAID are in the Republic of Sudan and more than 95% of the total loans and guarantees provided by the Arab Authority to all its companies are in Sudan. H.E further added that the number of companies managed by AAAID in Sudan, amount to 13 companies, explaining the sectors in which the Arab Authority is working, including the agricultural manufacturing sector, plant production sector, animal production sector, in addition to the sector of agricultural services and development activities.
For his part, H.E the Head of the Sovereignty Council welcomed the President of AAAID and his accompanying delegation wishing AAAID success in its efforts to increase investments in Sudan.
