At the gracious invitation of the Islamic Development Bank Group, the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development participated with a delegation led by H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi – Chairman of AAAID Board of Directors, in the activities of the Private Sector Forum of the Islamic Development Bank Group. The forum was held on the sidelines of the annual meetings and coincided with the celebration of the Bank’s golden jubilee, during the period of April 28-30, 2024, in Riyadh – Saudi Arabia.
The participation is part of the AAAID’s efforts to engage with partners and relevant entities from private sector companies, governmental bodies, investors, businessmen, chambers of commerce and industry, and regional and international financial development institutions. The forum witnessed the attendance and participation of senior government officials, CEOs, and executives of local, regional, and international private sector companies, investors, businessmen, chambers of commerce and industry, trade and investment promotion agencies, as well as regional and international financial development institutions. The forum’s program included B2B and B2G bilateral meetings aimed at networking, forming partnerships, and establishing business relationships. The forum also featured an exhibition for partners and a competition for startups, and also honored distinguished organizations and individuals by entities of the Islamic Development Bank Group.
On the sidelines of the forum, H.E. Dr. Al Zaabi, met with a number of officials and a group of relevant entities from the private and governmental sectors, where meetings were held with H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin – the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund, and H.E. Professor Feryal El-Warghi – the Minister of Economy and Planning of the Republic of Tunisia, to discuss ways of joint cooperation.
