The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) recently participated in the first edition of Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE 2022), which was organized under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), during 6 – 8 December, 2022, at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).
AAAID’s participation came as part of its keenness to strengthen cooperation with strategic partners of investors and agricultural companies, build integrative partnerships to achieve AAAID’s investment strategy for the coming five years, and increase expertise exchanging in the agricultural field.
This year’s participation of AAAID comes as an extension of its annual participation in agricultural exhibitions, in addition to the great turnout of local and international companies at ADIFE that are specialized in food, beverages and hospitality sectors, besides the presence of a great number of experts, specialists and decision makers from these important vital sectors.
Several companies to which AAAID contribute has taken part in ADIFE exhibition, which are distributed across more than 12 Arab countries and have reached to 53 companies and projects that operate in the production of basic food commodities such as sugar, oils, poultry, dairy, fish, grain and improved seeds, as well as fruits and vegetables.
ADIFE’s activities involved the organization of AAAID annual companies’ meeting, along the presence of the general managers and technical experts of these companies, in addition to the strategic partners of companies that invest in food security projects. Moreover, the second day of ADIFE witnessed the signing of a joint memorandum of understanding between AAAID and Abu Chamber on 7 December, 2022.
It is worth noting that ADIFE exhibition has witnessed the announcement of numerous contract-signing and deals, as well as partnership agreements that were concluded between a wide range of government and private entities. Besides, B2B meetings between buyers and sellers in various supply chains have also taken place during ADIFE, along with a variety of associated activities and events that shed light on the major issues of food production, as well as hospitality and food services, and a number of workshops and specialized global competitions.
