Conference of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development

The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) is a leading Arab financial institution established in 1976, with contributions from all Arab countries to its capital. Its primary goal is to enhance food security in Arab countries. Throughout its extensive history in agricultural investment, the AAAID has played a vital role in establishing numerous agricultural companies specializing in the production of essential food commodities in the Arab region. Currently, it contributes to a large number of   companies operating across 12 Arab countries.

The AAAID has also implemented numerous successful development programs aimed at supporting small farmers and producers while promoting the adoption and localization of modern agricultural technologies in the Arab world. Additionally, it provides advisory services in various areas of agricultural investment, including feasibility studies, technical support for food production and processing companies, and the promotion of investment opportunities in Arab countries.

As the organizer of the conference, the AAAID seeks to discuss initiatives to achieve food security in the Arab world and reinforce its role in this critical mission. This conference represents a continuation of ongoing efforts to advance the Arab agricultural sector. Ensuring food security for Arab populations in light of the current global conditions requires the integration of roles to develop appropriate policies  to expand agricultural land reclamation, the mobilization of financial resources to increase investments, and the adoption of advanced agricultural production technologies such as digital innovations and artificial intelligence. These efforts aim to bridge the Arab food gap and achieve sustainable agricultural development.

The conference, which is held under the slogan “Sustainability is the Path to Food Security,” will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Dubai, as a leading Arab country in innovation, investment, entrepreneurship, and technology, provides an ideal setting for hosting this event, The conference will take place During the period from 23-24 April 2025 .

Conference Objectives:

The conference aims to discuss new initiatives in food security to:

  1. 1. Strengthen Arab countries’ efforts to develop the agricultural sector and provide financing for increased agricultural investments.
  2. 2. Encourage Arab countries to improve the investment climate to attract Arab and foreign capital into the agricultural sector, focusing on infrastructure, streamlined procedures, and incentives.
  3. 3. Promote agricultural innovation and modern technologies to ensure the sustainability of natural resources.
  4. 4. Reduce the food gap for essential commodities to achieve Arab food security.
  5. 5. Support small farmers to enhance food security in the Arab world.
  6. 6. Identify successful agricultural investment opportunities in Arab countries and encourage their utilization.
  7. 7. Facilitate collaboration between investors and funding agencies to promote available investment opportunities.
  8. 8. Foster intra-Arab trade in agricultural products and related production inputs.
