The signing of a partnership agreement to finance small scall farmers between the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) and EBDAA Microfinance Bank -Sudan, one of the banks of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), was announced. The agreement was signed on behalf of AAAID by H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of AAAID, and on behalf of AGFUND by H.E. Dr. Nasser Bin Bakr Al-Qahtani, Executive Director of AGFUND. This took place during the ceremony of the Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development, held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, in the capital city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP 16).
