In a move aimed at enhancing cooperation in the Arab agricultural sector, the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The General Union of Arab Farmers and Agricultural Cooperatives. H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, The Chairman of the Board of AAAID, signed on behalf of AAAID, while H.E. Khaled Khazal, Secretary-General, signed on behalf of the Union.
This memorandum aims to establish a general framework for cooperation between the two parties in areas related to their respective objectives, which include developing #agriculturaldevelopment programs in the Arab world, financing small-scall farmers and agricultural projects, and exchanging expertise in the preparation and evaluation of feasibility studies in the field of #agriculturalinvestment and capacity building.
It is noteworthy that the General Union of Arab Farmers and Agricultural Cooperatives works to support and activate the agricultural cooperative movement in the Arab world and to create a conducive environment for the development of agricultural programs. We look forward to fruitful results from this cooperation and its role in enhancing food security and sustainable development in the region.
