A visit was recently paid by H.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, President of AAAID, and an accompanying delegation to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania during 3-4 November, 2022, where multiple meetings were conducted with H.E. Yahya Ould Ahmed Al-Waqf, Minister of Agriculture in Mauritania, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdallah Ould Othman, Minister of Livestock, H.E. Ousmane Mamadou Kane, Minister of Economic Affairs & Promotion of Productive Sectors, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Al Nany, Director General of Finance and Economic Cooperation, and H.E. Fatima Bint Suwaina, from the Mauritanian Company for Animal Products.
The visit included a brief introduction about AAAID, its companies, and the projects under establishment and implementation in Mauritania; besides, the main aim was to discuss venues of cooperation and coordination between AAAID and the ministries in the field of livestock and agricultural production in Mauritania.
In addition, the CEOs of AAAID’s companies conducted a meeting with investors and financial institutions in order to introduce AAAID’s investments, and review the proposed investment opportunities such as the dairy project in Aftout Canal, the establishment of an agricultural bank, and the project of surface fishing vessels acquisition.
