H.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, President and Chairman of AAAID, has recently met with H.E. Mrs. Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and experts joined the meeting from both sides.
The meeting came as an endeavor to increase and develop AAAID’s investments in various agricultural fields in the Arab countries. H.E. Mr. Al Mazrooei highlighted AAAID’s visions, objectives, and gave a brief on its agricultural investments and projects in the Arab countries. Also, the meeting addressed promising investment opportunities in the agricultural field.
H.E. Mrs. Odile Renaud-Basso pointed out the active role of the European Bank in development in the southern Mediterranean, and in achieving comprehensive and sustainable economic growth.
The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between AAAID and the European Bank in a number of existing projects between the two parties, such as the projects of Domaine Youssef in the Kingdom of Morocco and the Mabrouka seeds project in the Republic of Tunisia. Additionally, numerous investment opportunities in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Tunisia, the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Algeria were also discussed.
Lastly, both parties affirmed their eagerness and keenness to strengthen cooperation in a manner that serves and develops common interests.
