AAAID recently signed two joint memorandum of understanding with the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) and the National Agrarian Science and Educational Center, on Monday, 21 February, 2022, during the international conference titled “Prospects for the development of food security of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia”, which was held at the Kazakhstan pavilion at Expo 2020 – Dubai, UAE.
The joint MoU with the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) aimed at establishing a fruitful cooperation with AAAID to achieve common goals of implementing food security, agriculture and rural development projects.
Through this MoU, both parties intend to develop cooperative activities in fields of common interest including the implementation of programs in fields of sustainable agriculture, rural development, food and water security, biotechnology and food reserves; in addition to promoting joint financing to develop food security, achieve food balance, establish agribusinesses, and provide humanitarian aid.
Additionally, a second joint MoU was also signed between AAAID and the National Agrarian Science and Educational Center, aimed at achieving common goals of implementing food security, agriculture and rural development projects; as well as implementing programs in fields of sustainable agriculture, rural development, food and water security, biotechnology, food reserves, and agricultural education; in addition to strengthening institutional cooperation such as expanding channels of information exchange, research, analysis and communication.
His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, President and Chairman of AAAID, stated “Through these MoUs, AAAID seek to make successful investment and development partnerships with all relevant authorities in order to strengthen Arab food security.”
