The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, in light of its flourishing investment and development activities, has been following up and supporting these activities in various Arab countries. This is in addition to identifying the promising investment opportunities in Arab countries and contributing to government and investment bodies in projects and programs that enhance the objectives of AAAID to reinforce Arab food security.
In this context, His Excellency Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, President and Chairman of the BOD of AAAID, accompanied by a delegation from the Arab Authority, visited the Kingdom of Morocco during the period of 24 to 28 April 2018, in order to meet with officials and to view AAAID’s projects and investment opportunities available in Morocco.
During the visit, His Excellency the President and his accompanying delegation met with H.E Dr. Saad Eddin El Othmani, the Prime Minister of Morocco. The Minister welcomed the visit, in which H.E Al Mazrooei affirmed the interest of AAAID to contribute to agricultural and developmental projects in Morocco. His Excellency the Prime Minister also reviewed AAAID’s intention to organize the 4th Arab Conference for Agricultural Investment in Morocco. His Excellency the President explained the justifications and ambitious goals of hosting the conference in Morocco, where the agricultural strategy of the Green Morocco Plan achieved remarkable successes and created different investment opportunities.
His Excellency the Prime Minister welcomed AAAID and commended the work done in favor of investment and agricultural development in Arab countries. He further supported the organizing of the 4th Arab Conference for Agricultural Investment in Morocco and promised to cooperate fully to make it a success and to achieve the most ambitious results through it. His Excellency Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrooei also visited the International Exhibition for Agriculture in Meknes and met with His Excellency Aziz Akhannouch, Minister of Agriculture in the Kingdom of Morocco. During the meeting, AAAID’s partners gave a presentation of the new, USD 28 million project that was established in partnership with the Arab Authority for the cultivation, storage, processing and export of fruits and vegetables.
During a press conference, His Excellency Al Mazrooei reviewed projects supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture, which are concerned with the cooperatives of small farmers for the production of milk. These projects have achieved great success on the development of the rural citizen and encouraging production.
