AAAID continuously strives to establish new relations and to sustain engagement and constructive action with Scientific and Research Centers and Unions in support of scientific research activity that contribute to the reinforcement of Arab food security. In this light, His Excellency Mohamed Bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, AAAID President welcomed His Excellency Dr.Mubarak Mohamed Ali Majzoub the Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils on Tuesday 25/10/2016.
His Excellency AAAID President welcomed the Secretary General and expressed his gratitude for his visit, commending the Federation’s significant role and status in promoting scientific research.
The Secretary-General thanked His Excellency AAAID President for his generous welcome and for the opportunity to meet in light of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two bodies. The MOU supports the activity of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils that apply Arab agricultural expertise and scientific qualifications to serve the development of applied agricultural research in Arab countries to achieve food security. This support has been allocated to the implementation of researches that apply new agricultural technologies and research that solve problems facing the Arab agricultural sector. Further, the MOU supports researches of an applied investment or development nature that aid in the development and improvement of agricultural activities. His Excellency stated AAAID’s valuable role in supporting research centers and paying attention to scientific research and technological developments reflected in its introduction of zero-tillage technology in Sudan and disseminating it in several Arab countries.
